Always bought the wife some expensive jewelry, but now she seems to have all she needs. This year is a problem as I try to come up with something different. Am open to suggestions also.

In 25 years (12/12/80 to 12/12/05) I've always given her what she wants by asking. I realize this might not work for everyone. Ever tried it?
regards,
Mark

Yes Mark, but a surprise is often appreciated.

I used to buy in the $ 500 + range shortly after we got married.
Now ( after 35 years ), it's down in the 0 - 30 bracket.
Just kidding.
Have you considered a nice weekend package ( hotel, meals, movie or theatre performance ) ?

Make her something that only you can make her and that you've never made her before. Make it for her alone.

Silly wabbit presents are for kids

Wifey and I agreed to spend no more than $50 on each other a few years back and spend the rest on the kids. At first it was kinda cheesy but the challenge to find the perfect gift(s) for a set amount became fun for the both of us. It was so much fun we dropped it to $20 the following year and all gifts since then have been so touching that tears are normally induced.....it's the thought that makes the difference.

Two years ago I found Joe Strummers last CD in my stocking, my wife touched on my love of The Clash and Joe Strummers death a few weeks prior to that day.

It's truly touching that someone can know me so well.

I guess it depends on how you run the household, wifey thought I was going to a car show that day I came home with a Ferrari. We get what we want and don't ask questions, now I do admit that feeding and housing the Chippendales can be costly but it keeps the peace.

I'd buy her lingerie.

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Howdy All,
Heard this idea lately. You buy yourself a gift and wrap it. Your wife buys her gift for herself and wraps it. You don't tell the other what it is. Then open them on Christmas day.

Umm, I am 17, but my dad is going to take my mom to Carmel, CA for 3 nights without the kids. It is going to be their first vacation without lugging the family around in ohhhh, 10 years.

Actually, my dad just wants to take his SL600 on a nice road trip, and he thought CA Rte 1 would be kinda cool. So, I guess it works out for them both.

A simple cosmetic procedure

Don't know how much this "must have" would cost.
