Need Advice Asap

Ok,today my son was browsing the internet and came across a 1995 E320 Special Edition for his older brother. We decided to go out and see it.Man was it great. I am thinking of getting it tomorrow if they give me a good amount for the Jetta. How much do you think I could get for it.The KBB value is in the high 3000's,do you think they would give me 4 grand for it?It has all the options a 1999 VW Jetta,109,XXX miles, excellent condition,Wolfsburg Edition,Automatic Transmission, every option except for sunroof and alloy/premium wheels.Do you think I could squeeze 4 grand out of them, they are not a MB dealership, but they are a very well established dealership.

Of course you can squeeze $4K out of them, provided that you have not fixed the price on the M/B. These are crafty folk, and, if they sense that the trade-in value is the most important thing for you, you'll get what you want. Don't expect much of anything off the asking price of the M/B if the $4K is more than wholesale, however.

They have to make money on both ends of the deal.........when they purchase yours (at wholesale) and when they sell theirs (at or close to retail).

Work your best cash price on the Benz and sell the Jetta yourself.

That's the best advice, financially. But, you must put up with the the BS of selling a vehicle privately.

Of course, there is always e-bay, but that carries its own difficulties of sale.
