Who watched O'Reilly on Letterman?

It was on tuesday I believe.

Did that O'Reilly get ***** slapped by Letterman or what?

No need to respond if YOU are going to just say CBS or Letterman is part of the liberal media.

I saw it, and thought Letterman blew it.

Don't get me wrong...I dig Dave, he's the master of late night and I rarely miss his show. Few things are funnier than watching him subtly rip a guest he doesn't care for. Earlier in the show, Dave's comments made it clear what he thought of the guy, and I was hoping he'd come up with something clever to shut the blabbermouth up. I'm no liberal, but O'Reilly is just so easy to dislike...he's such a pompous, opinionated ass. He'd fit in just fine around here.

Even though Dave had an obviously anti-O'Reilly audience behind him, he was completely ineffective. The applause he did get was weak and contrived. The best Dave could do was hurl a few personal insults, and he got his clock cleaned when the issue of Cindy Sheehan came up. The audience even applauded O'Reilly when he made his final remark on the matter.

Add to that...O'Reilly was actually respectful and calm - quite unlike his annoying persona on his own show. Much as I hate to admit it, I think he displayed unusual class in how he handled Letterman's juvenile remarks.

Hopefully, Dave will get another chance at the guy someday, and will do a better job...

Oasis100, You must have been watching the Canadien version of the Letterman show. The responses by Dave to O'reilly were the eqivalent of "Oh Yah!" to every one of Bills statements. O'reilly kicked Daves ass! You need to take those hockey pucks out of your ears so that you could hear both sides of the conversation.

Talking

I saw it and another time he was on too. It was basically the same "schtick". Dave gets to pick on BO, and BO gets any pub he can for his BS show. JMHO...

Better liked this recent TOP 10 list....

10. Fewer decisions based on wild, drunken hunches

9. Have N.S.A. find out what really happened between Nick and Jessica

The funny thing, when O'Reilly talked about his war on christmas, he brought up the same obscure example of a school in Wisconsin as he did when he brought up this 'war' on the ORF. If he did have 'millions' of examples, I'm sure there could have been a better example to use than the one he put forth on Letterman.

How can anyone be a fan of BR when he contrives such bs as the war on christmas.

I did some research, and found this. Some of you probably have heard it already. But this is just for you O'Reilly Factor fans.
http://christianity.rinf.com/?p=40

A contrived 'War on Christmas' by Bill O'Reilly.
If he has misled many of you conservatives out there who are diehard factor fans..what else has he lied to you about??

I found a downloadable vid of the interview at:

http://thepoliticalteen.net/2006/01/04/oreillyletterman/

I think it was about a draw. Letterman has his good points (in general) as does O'Reilly. BO surprises me from time to time with his willingness to be his own man. He clings to a lot of unsupportable premises IMO. Way too certain of his correctness.
