Mercedes streetracing ends in tragedy.
Tuesday night two 18 year old kids in their parents' Benzes imitated the very popular video game (or so the cops allege after finding a copy of said game in one of the vehicles involved) Need for Speed (in which players choose highend sportcars and race them through city streets) and raced along a winding road in the middle of Toronto reaching speeds up to 140km/h (according to eyewitnesses who obviously have eyes equipped with radar capabilities) finally crashing into a taxi which was making a left turn in front of them. One of the Benz pushed the cab into a utility pole killing its driver instantly. The kid in the Mercedes walked away uninjured.

The car that crashed was a C class. Check out the picture, german engineering at its best, airbags and seatbelts do save lives I guess. Alex |

so they were going about 87 in a 30? Cripes...
We race through a winding backroad in the sticks... I know both of the two people on the road, and their working sceduals... Max corning speed in my friends car is 50 something... mine can take it at 60+..... Were definetly reliving tfatf, or 2f2f... ITS A GAME, whos the moron whos making that connection? If you think a game is anything similer to real life, you are insane, and need to be in an isilom Says alot for german engineereing though ~Nate

People can be VERY stupid.
I cannot wait for the day when we stop pointing fingers at music, TV, and Video Games, and start pointing the finger at US. Arent WE as SOCIETY to blame? Education anybody? When will we figure it out that we need to act upon creating stricter drivers license testing procedures, timelines, and requirements? Some may scoff at the thought- embarking on a restructuring of that size could raise taxes. But I guess it would make everyone horribly miserable if we couldnt to afford our video game systems, gap accounts, and other expendables, and surely more miserable than losing a loved one.
