Coretta Scott King (1927-2006)
The widow of Martin Luther King Jr. died this morning at the age of 78. I'm so glad that I got a chance to meet her back in 2000 during a family trip to Atlanta. She seemed so refined, so dignified, like a REAL lady should be.
Rest in Peace Mrs. King.

I wonder if that means we can now listen to his speeches without paying a royalty. Isn't that the shrewd business move that King's family engineered? I think they copywrited MLK like Disney did Mickey.

I am grateful for the return of dignity her husband and his associates offered this country. I am even more grateful we accepted it. |
