100,000 btu propane heater needed.

Before I go and buy a new/used heater for my shop...does anyone have a Mr. Heater Propane Heater — 100,000 BTU, Model# F191925 propane shop heater for sale or similar?

I have changed to propane ( Local natural gas company ONG is a joke, cost wise.) and my installer tells me my old ifra-red natural gas heaters cannot be adapted to propane.....I don't understand why, he's not saying...seems like some kind of Masonic secret !! as these heaters are exactly the same as the Mr Heater one above...just they are 20 years old.....what exactly is the difference between a propane and a natural gas heater.?

I thought the only difference was the size of the orfice?
Some building codes require floor drains with propane since it is heaver than air and won't dissipate the way natural gas does.

I once recall watching a sailor scooping the propane out of his bilges with a bailer and dumping it overboard. To the unaware, he looked to be nuts. miming bailing the boat.

In converting a Natural Gas Dryer to Propane it was just a matter of changing to the proper Propane Nozzle.

dkveuro,

Are you inside the city limits where "bONG" has the gas provider franchise. If so it is technically illegal to use any other gaseous fuel to get around them. If you are outside a city limit, then the situation may be different. Was checking for a friend who wanted to convert his furnace, as it only takes a different orifice and possibly a slight pressure change to existing regulator. However, inside city limits was a No No!!! And they can easily see your propane storage tanks.

If they force you to switch units you should look into a corn stove as well.

This is commercial application....have non vented overhead American Infra-Red.
Oklahoma allows non vented heater.

Looked at corn stove heaters...$2000.00 and 100 lbs of corn a day !
