Left the soggy islands for SoCal . . . where I get to experience the same storm system three days later . . . and coming from one of the two states that doesn't do DST . . . I get to lose an hour on Sunday . . . the day of my flight back . . . so I have to check if the departure time took all of that into account . . . life on the mainland is oh so confusing.
On an upbeat note, I had a great time this morning at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Irvine. The center is not officially open and operational, but the front showroom is open. Tom Hanson, formerly of Caliber Motors, is the parts manager. Presently, the newest car the Center will work on or inventory parts for is the W126, however, the W201 and then the W124 should get "classic" status from MBUSA shortly.
