I used to love the casino's. Being about 2 hours north of Atlantic City I used to go down for the weekends, and sometimes even after work. I would start out at $300-400 for a day and if I could double+ it, I was happy. Craps was my favorite for awhile, then I moved over to blackjack.
My best night ever was about 5k from a duet of craps and blackjack. Worst night was about 4k blackjack. That was a bad night, spent every dime I had and as much as I could get from the bank cards. I had to scrounge for change in the car for the tolls on the way home. I never felt lower in my life. Ever since then (10 years ago), I don't gamble anymore, just lost it's glitter knowing how it felt to be out of control. Winning was the evil, it just made me want to gamble more, past the point of rationality. The odds eventually caught up with me and the losses took all the fun out of it, and I quit gambling.
