E-bay Euro glass lense to fit 124 USA lights
Has anyone used or seen these euro glass lenses .They are supposed to fit over usa headlights ,are one piece glass and cost 80. dollars.
I am sure they don't work as well as real euro's but i have a cracked guard on mine.and would fit the bill. they are supposed to cover guard and headlight, with euro look. Sounds too easy Rich

So youd have to get two of them @ $160 total? Thats what I paid for my Depo euro lights. Even if they are 80 dollars, i would just save another 80 dollars and get the euros.

No they are 80,dollars for both. Where did you find the depot lights?
Are they as good as real euros? And are they glass? I have two cars that can use better looking lights, but i still want some thing that won't fall off. Thanks Rich

I got them from Ebay. The Depos are glass. I suspect they are made in Taiwan. I actually had Bosch E-code headlamps made in Germany before these (the drop in replacement for the stock sealed beams) and these Depos have a much more solid beam, less...spottiness, if that makes sense. And they look awesome on a W123. The fit and finish is perfect. W124s look awesome with euros as well of course. I kinda wish I had a black 190E so i could do the euro lights and the smoked corner lights.

Euro lights are awesome
I saw a W124 230CE in Lima Peru, with the Euro lights - they look AWESOME.
If you could afford it I would go for the full Euro light conversion, I know Capitol West in Sacramento sells them - or used to I had it done for my SEC, and once aimed, they light the road much better and don't bother oncoming drivers. (Note:It says, for off road use only, on the box, if this is a concern to you). The Capitol West set for the SEC, came also with a set of the darker orange blinker lenses. Don't forget these are (the Euro set up) the lights Mercedes intended to be fit for the car - the US ones came about after the DOT USA got involved. FWIW. Good luck whatever you choose.... |
