Angry EBAY>>>STAY AWAY from MERCEDES991

I won a fuel pump relay on ebay as the only bidder for $68. Good for me...Yes?
NO! The seller... europarts@mercedebenzparts.com... or mercedes991..... refuses to answer me or my emails, will not give me a total so I can pay. 10 days and 12 emails. NO JOY. I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Too bad 'cause it would have been a good deal.

Note: Some of my emails were answered but with gobble-de- gook.

I've bought several parts there also, got them pretty quickly for great prices and good quality. Unforntunitly he sometimes sells parts he doesn't have on hand. His ebay score has a high amount of negatives but when he does follow thru most people are happy. He's extremely slow responding to emails because of his volume of sales. Give it another week and see what happens, then go for the throat if no reply. Ps.. I hope you used your credit card.

I've done business with them on at least two occasions....they were a bit slow to ship once but I got everything I was promissed as promissed...but I think they go through cycles of people having problems. Just rememebr you MUST file with Ebay or Paypal within 30 days of auction close if you have issues.

My problem is that he won't let me pay thus no part. I have lodged a complaint with ebay and left a negative feedback. The negative feedback, however, doesn't cause a ripple with this guy as he literally does thousands of transactions. Negative feedback for me caused it to go from 100% to 86.4%.

I thought you are not supposed to sell stuff you don't have? IOW, I shouldn't be selling a car I am buying from someone. I should only sell a car I have in my posession and legally too.

I suspect he has a new moniker and is still ripping people off!!!

Ebay has become a magnet for trashy wheeler dealers.

One thing I find really disgusting on there, is sellers who don't give you positive feedback until you give them a positive. They wait until it's posted and if you post negative they will do the same.

As a buyer, once you made payment, your obligation is positively delivered.

Those sorts of numbers will not automatically get a seller booted from eBay.

Based on what's happened during the past 90 days (negative feedback, neutral feedback, and "Item Not Received" complaints), a seller may me considered to be in violation of eBay's "Seller Non-Performance policy" - in which case he may have some restrictions placed on his selling activity. This is a relatively recent thing in the eBay world.

One thing many buyers are not aware of - and that eBay does not publicize all that well, IMHO - is that eBay DOES have a procedure to report a seller for non-performance. I don't know how eBay handles it now, but it used to be the case that NPS "strikes" carried significant weight with respect to the possibility of a seller getting booted (becoming NARU - Not A Registered User - in eBay slang).

This is stuff that I've gathered from occasional visits to one of the seller boards on eBay, so take it for what it's worth. Full details of eBay policies are their business, and they don't consider it necessary to communicate them to buyers and sellers.

I feel differently. My obligation is not over until the buyer is happy. I sell quite a bit on ebay and always contact buyer to insure they recieved item and it was to their liking. Then, and only then, will I post feedback. There are way too many that expect new from a used item and will post neg. feedback before even contacting seller to work things out.
