Fargo, North Dakota...

...is there anything interesting to see for a car/railroad buff?

I will visit my brother next week and have no idea how this place looks like. Is there an interesting Mercedes dismantler where I can pick up door panels for a W 115?

Kind regards
Eberhard

There's not much in Fargo. There's a movie about Fargo though.

Well, I do know the movie...

...but besides, isn't there something interesting to see?

The "City of Fargo Photo Page" is scary.

See the fourth topic

"Landfill equipment"

Great.

Kind regards
Eberhard

Fortunatly...

...I have seen other parts of the states.

Lived in NYC for half a year, worked at a camp in Vermont, have been to Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Boston, Virginia, North Carolina, Las Vegas...

But my brother lives up there in Fargo, so what can I do?

Kind regards
Eberhard

Well if you go over to Minnesota you can go canoeing. I think they're still cleaning up from the Red River almost flood.

Unhappy Fargo

Dude, unless there is something happening at the Fargo Dome, you are screwed. Spent 6 years in MN having to travel to Fargo monthly. Except for getting drunk at Applebees and finding my way back to the motel, TOTALLY BORING

From Forbe's magazine:

"Don't let its funny dialect deter you. Fargo is far more than a backdrop for the Coen brothers' 1996 homespun murder movie. It's a friendly, fresh-air place to raise a family. Schools are among the best in the Midwest. And the economy is thumping. Forbes ranked Fargo as the second-best small city for business and careers due to its low cost of doing business, concentration of college grads, and job and income growth. "

But that doesn't mean that you will be well entertained!

That's because Fargo is in East Dakota which is an extension of Minnesota (geographically and politically).
