good idea.

but what i really want to know is do the new pts use a better setup? if this bugger blows again.....well i suppose i would fix it...but i wouldnt want to.

I had to do some reading on this subject about a year ago. A customer had a dodge shadow and research led me to the neon/pt head gasket problems. I would contact Chrysler because I think they have the issue sorted out now. I thought I remember reading about gaskets from certain oem suppliers causing problems.

i know a fellow who is a very long time mechanic at the local dodge dealer. i have been meaning to call him and ask him but i keep forgetting.
