Hurricane season is back......
Here we go again folks.
It seems like it's only been official for a week or so, and the first one is here. i have always been optimistic when it comes to these things, but seeing blue tarps all over the place, 9 mos after the last one, I can only imagine what another disatrous year will bring to this region. With insurancers that are still in the state, wanting to raise prices to cover themselves, with others leaving the state, it makes it EXPENSIVEfor people to continue to live here. Just recently, insurers decided to drop insurance on businesses. How many forutune 500 companies want to move here with the constant threats? Not many I imagine. My particular industry(interior landscaping) has severly been affected and I can only imagine what all these growers are going thru. Another year like last year and they'll be bailing out for sure, selling their land to developers who are salivating over the potential acreage that may become available. To continue; condominiums, which are popping up all over the place, are having a hard time getting insurance, so where does that leave us? I know I'm sounding a little paranoid, but the lines at the gas stations were pretty long this morning. ![]() ![]() ![]()
