This seems to be a very nice car, thought I would post it.The bid is at $18,000 right now!I remember that one guy who wanted $80,000 for his 560SEL with 34,000 miles, imagine what he would want for this one!

Yes, but...

How often was it run, it could be a mess it simply sat unattended, even inside, for years and years. The rubber bits could shrink and dry out too.

It is being sold as is, so all those things are the worry of the buyer.

Fine, if it will be trailered to a museum and never driven again. With mileage that low, every mile driven will decrease its value, that is the buyer's conundrum.

Maybe it will be fine, .....maybe..... but as a practical matter,a SAFER bet with a big Mercedes like that, would be a car with higher miles, and driven regularly, with fluids changed at decent intervals, than one that just sat year after year.

Still, after all that, it might be the car to have if everything mechanical checked out, and it was in great shape mechanically, it could be like having a second chance to start out with a near new one. Americans worship at the altar of low mileage. No doubt the reserve price and the bids will reflect that.

Since it is a sedan, and a non AMG one at that. I will say its worth $20k-$25k to me. Provided its like new, and I mean new I want to be able to eat off the underside. With that car you just go through it and change out a bunch of rubber parts like heater hoses ext, with OE MB replacements of course. After that it should be good to go. I'd try to run 1k miles per year onto it, just to keep it road ready.

I am usually a pretty harsh viewer, but this seems to be the real deal,,,, but no real closeups were included.

The car looks pristine and original. What scares me is the location, the Bronx NY. I would have also locked that baby up in the garage and kept it there. Got to be one of the worst car places in the country to keep a car like that in one piece, especially in the 80-90's.

Cool

Also, the color combo is not my first choice. If I was to store that car when I first bought it,I would have chosen a nice black on black or black on beige .Anybody else got the same thoughts?
