I got a new job today!!!
It isn't offical yet, but except for doing some paper work its a done deal. I will be working with Remax as a REALTOR shortly. For now I am an assitant and will work under three of the top agents in the area. As soon as some paperwork with the state gets done, I can take my test and get my license, hopefully sometime in mid July. I could have had three customers already if I had it sooner.:(
Friday its off to look at 12 houses, and Sunday I will probably help with a few open houses. It should be fun, Friday we end at a nice house on the water for lunch. This is my first "real" job.:D Should keep me busy until I get out of school. I don't have a website yet, thats coming. But for now here is the Remax HQ website with info on the office I will be in: http://www.remax.com/residential/find_an_office/index.aspx |

Congrats, bro! :)

Congratulations and my the salesforce be with you!
|
Best of luck! FWIW, the two real estate agents I've used to complete purchases were helpful and willing to listen to my requests and respond on a timely basis. The several who I’ve met but didn’t go foreword with were in it for themselves.

Congrats hat!!! You going to drive your clients in the SDL??
Its cool working on commission... OT: Hat, when you going to put some pics of your cars up? |
I kind of work in sales already at the marina. The only difference is I sell boating related stuff and get paid hourly. It may sound strange but I prefer to work on commission, or as I prefer to call it a service fee.
I will treat my real estate customers the same way I treat my customers at the marina. I will be honest, and try to the best of my abality to first find out their needs, and then fill them. I am not going to be one of those fly by night only in it for the money agents. I plan on being in this profession for a long time. I was going to get my license a couple of years ago when I was 18 but it didn't work out, all the cards are lined up perfectly this time around so I went for it. Justin, we normaly don't drive people around anymore. Because of insurance, to much risk. Usualy they follow in their car, unless its like one person then sometimes. The agent that I will be learning from, one of the top ones in the area drives an SDL to! So we can compare notes:D |
Good luck Hat, the best advice I can give to a person seeking advice about RE is less is more. If you say one thing about one property it will become incorrect on the next 100% of the time. Let grown ups make their own decisions.
Follow the proven and don't think that you can reinvent the wheel. |
Congratulations! I bet you'll do well.
|
Good luck
Good luck Hatteras. I'm a salesman, work on commission, and love it. I hope you will, too. It's really a lot like having your own business.
|
Congratulations and Good Luck!
|
Congratulations! I've always thought that would be a fun way to make a living. All the realtors I've dealt with seemd to really enjoy it, and I have some friends that sell as well.
