That was said by the German commander of a large Panzer force in an older movie called, the Battle of the Bulge, or something along those lines. He said it as his staff officer was getting pissed at him because he wanted the war to go one longer.

Wasn't that line from A Bridge Too Far? I could be wrong...

I asked my son..the WWII movie expert...he is sure it is from The Battle of the Bulge. I stand corrected.

No its most certainly the battle of the bulge, it was a cake from Boston, the German enjoyed it very much.:D

I don't know how accurite that was, but it made for a good scene.

How 'bout the XB-70 and the B-58?

This is a timely thread... just went to our local airshow yesterday! There's nothing like the sound of a P-51 doing a high-speed low-level pass. Amazing. I work on KC-135's at an active duty base, so we see/hear all kinds of stuff coming and going. Still, nothing trips my trigger like a P-51 at full steam!
