Fedex issues, plz help

Allright, last friday I bought a kenwood cd player on ebay (for the truck)...

Paied for it, and shipping, within the hour of clicking "buy it now"

Got emailed by ebay, and the seller (indoaudio on ebay)

the fedex tracking number is 084528360260831

it says "July 1, 2006 3:22 PM Package data transmitted to FedEx"

thats IT, they said estimated date of delivery was July 7th... last freekin friday

What's the next step???
I've never had issues with ups, or usps... wtf?

tks alot, I really appreciate it
~Nate

Probably Fedex Ground? Your information just suggest the packing label was made - but the package was not picked up. Hopefully it was insured, just file a claim. Think yours is bad? Look at my FX Number 041121364037987

Yup, look toward the vendor, not FedEx. FedEx received shipping label information but not the package.

I just can't understand this. This seller has never had customers who were dissatisfied with how long it took to receive their items.

Well, OK, maybe not exactly never...

I emailed them about 2 min ago...
"I bought a kenwood KDC-MP2032, for $77.40, and paied $28 for shipping/insurance, on the 30th of June. Item number 270001935621, tracking number 084528360260831.

It says "July 1, 2006 3:22 PM Package data transmitted to FedEx"

This suggests that a lable was printed, but no package was picked up.

I was hoping to install it last weekend (7th-9th), and have my trucks dash taken apart, waiting for it... You said in your last email that it should be here on the 7th.

I'd like for it to be shipped, and need it by next weekend...
If you cant do that, refund my money via paypal ($105.40), and I'll buy from another store.

Thanks alot, please email me about this asap.

~Nate (yannifan101)"

we'll see where that takes me...

I shoulda just coughed up the extra $10 for the next seller, but with %98.5 feedback, I expected better...

keep in mind that the $10 is an extra 1.5 hours of work for me... damn

~Nate

Stalling?

Nate, I happen to know that a lot of companies promise merchandise to be "in stock" just to lock in the buyer and then place orders with their suppliers. Perhaps this is what your seller did. Just a guess. Then they might have transmitted to label info to make it appear they were shipping it to keep you at bay for yet a little longer.

I don't know who the seller was or anything about it, but that could be the reason this has transpired. If they can string you along for long enough, they'll eventually be able to ship it to you.

Seems like a lot of trouble for such a small sale, but I've heard of crazier things happening.

Hey buddy, I have that problem too. I bought parts from newegg.com, and used the FedEx express saver shipping. I got the package before it even appeared on the fedex website.

Walmart doesnt carry kenwood... I HATE flashy looking decks, and the kenwood's not too bad in that aspect, plus I hate walmart anyways...

it's sent now... cool

I got an email from "postmaster"....

"Delivery failed 20 attempts: Questions@Indoaudio.com

SMTP connection failed"

funny how they sent it, just a few hours after my email...

and how it was from Anaheim, not Irvine...

w/e, hope that it gets here by the weekend

Should be getting it soon...

http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?ascend_header=1&clienttype=dotcom&cntry_code=us&language=english&tracknumbers=084528360260831

I guess the seller created a FedEx PowerShip label but never actually prepared the package for shipment for another several days!?

Not unusual if the seller handles large volumes...

There is a surcharge for "Signature Required" nowadays, so most likely, your shipment will just be sitting at your doorstep when you get home.

I know UPS has no qualms leaving really expensive items in plain view! That said, I chased down a UPS truck on the way to work once to pick up my new electric bass, lest he leave THAT on my front porch!

Nate -- I'm with you on the flashy decks thing. I bought an Aiwa as it had an AUX in jack on the front for my Sirius radio and iPod, but the damned display is too bright. It's not dimmable and it's high on the dash in my Jetta, so it's a real distraction at night. I need to find some of that static-cling tint stuff and try to dim it myself, or just buy another radio. Does your Kenwood have an AUX input?

As far as your FedEx issues, sounds like it's on its way. FYI, as I recall, FedEx shipments can be re-routed in-transit, so you might not want to post the tracking # online in the future. Not that anyone here at Mercedesshop would try to steal your radio that way, but why tempt fate?

Hope you get the radio before the weekend!

Chris
