Productivity

Okay, I have to start this one after I've spent way too much time today on the forum. Has your participation helped or hurt your productivity at work?

Be honest now.

As for me, I'm going to be in real trouble if I don't quit logging on to this site and start doing some actual work. Anybody else?

I had the day off. Been working too many weekends and evenings and needed some self-indulgent down-time. Last week I finally got caught-up with a number of hanging projects and ahhhhhh, a loong weekend. Helped the in-laws pick veggies for our family freezers, now nearly full. Played yard-boy. Drank some good beer and cheap-ass bourbon.

Back at work tomorrow.

being the boss i can admit that i do get on the site once or twice a month for a bit at the office. usually if i am chasing a part. (that is my official excuse if my wife shows up).

on the other hand i do think about work most any time of the day or night, trying to figure out how to get some problem solved so i can keep my people busy and my bills paid.

when doing it for fun i usually am at home.

Can't say I'm surprised that only a few people have responded to this thread.

I did actually make a business contact through OD, so technically it has been productive.....

And it's not as if I don't work until the job is done, regardless of hours. And I don't get paid for extra hours.

Let's just say it keeps our spirits up and therefore we work harder.

I'm glad to hear that, Maroon. By the way, does anybody out there need a new photography studio, production facility, or photo lab? Just checkin'.

Well, technically I don't work hourly so I can do whatever I please at the office. But logging onto the shop forum is counter productive to say the least!

I do log on during class though if its a boring lecture. MS in general eats up to much of my time.

Hope you're okay Blk E55. At least you know what's going on and why you're feeling the way you do. There are a lot of things to treat that with now that weren't around just a few years ago. I used to be a chaplain St Elizabeths Hospital in DC, so I know a little bit about things like that.

Ah, yes . .

Great movie. A lot of very creative people seem to be afflicted with things like that. I've often wondered if there was a correlation between creativity and mental illnesses.

Ever see the movie, A Beautiful Mind, about John Nash, the mathematician? It is very inspiring.
