Ah it's OK.

The eternal moneymaker, speeding ticket revenue

Maybe you can take Traffic School to clear the ticket and keep your record clean.

I hate those. When I was 20 I got 3 of them in 4 days!!! One of them was for going 27 mph in a 25 mph zone, it was a college town, and they made a LOT of money every fall when another batch of unsuspecting students came to town. Grrrr

I was riding with a friend the other day who was stopped for 47 in a 30. He also didn't have his license with him, nor a current insurance card. The cop asked when he got his last ticket and when my friend replied 1971 the cop let him off with a warning.

Well I wasn't so lucky. Guess I can probably take traffic school. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Hehehe... Havent got a ticket yet. It pays to keep an eye out and have a radar detector.

Get that thing off your record. I work in insurance, and one ticket can make your premiums skyrocket!

When I got a ticket years ago for an accident, I went to court in Denver. I'm pretty sure they were reducing all tickets to non-moving violations for everyone that bothered to show up in court. No traffic school required. Mine was reduced to a non-moving violation with 1 or 2 points.

That's what happened with my last one. Or probably more accurately, my most recent.

If you are going to get a radar detector get a V1. Don't mess with the cheap ones, $400.+/-

Hat, my dad has a V1 in his SL600. My cobra xrs 9730 does an awesome job. It picks up almost as much stuff as his does. As far as I can tell, his has better range than mine does.

Anyways, I paid a little over $100 for mine. I got it at a going out of business sale locally.

for the last 15 years i have always used a kindof plea bargain called here a diversion. you pay some extra fine and are on probation for usually 6 months and then if no new tickets it is kept off your record. a clean record is essential for getting warning tickets if you are on the cusp in the amount you have speeded. this is a good deal for anyone who drives a lot.

second, if you have a radar detector and are pulled over you will NOT EVER get a warning if the cop sees it. so for that reason i dont use one. also because if i had one i prob would drive 90 all the time and would end up losing my license.

Dang, $175. One year probationary period and it doesn't go on my record if I don't get any other moving violations. Apparently 68 in a 55 is terrible.
