He just got **** faced and let the whole world know. I am sure this will pass ina few weeks/months and very few will remember or hold him responsible for his actions. I have not seen any of his recent movies and never will.

He didn't say anything about Israel or official US policy. His comments were directed towards the Jewish people as a whole. This is the very essence of racism and bigotry and would be accepted as such for any other group if you removed the word "Jew" and replaced it with the racial/religious slur of your choosing.

I've entered this thread against my better judgement. I've read enough of your related posts to know that my words might as well be said to a brick wall because your opinons seem to be very ingrained. However, the fact that you've ignored the difference between not supporting Israeal and racially-motivated hate speech denigrating an entire people shows that you have a narrow vision of things yourself. That just needs to be said.

It's a sad commentary that Mel Gibson and ilk will have more influence on the lives of the "typical American" than GWB will.

Perhaps it's time that Mr. Gibson fully comes out of the "anti-semite closet." Imagine the impact he could have on his religious fan base . . . giving them a voice and leader in the entertainment industry to champion their view.

I'd show you some respect if you were to blame Israelis - at least you'd have some relevance to your argument, but blaming Jews for the war is plain bigotry, as there are MANY Jews worldwide that are protesting the war. Whereas we have a wide view from you. So, do tell us instead of being cryptic. He can disagree with policy all he wants. If he had said "F***ing Bush is XXXXX" I would agree that is his right. However, the comments he made. What if I made the comment "F***ing ******s should be shot, hanged or drown". Would that make me a prime candidate for Klan recruitment?
