I have Vonage, and the service is great. The call clarity is excellent, and the connection is great. The voicemail is cool cause I can check it online or over the phone, and the price is fantastic.

My only gripe is when you hang up after leaving a message on someones voicemail, it will sometime do a ring back and ring your phone. This is only a minor glitch, and they say they are working on a fix for that. Other than that, I give them an A.

We have it at work. It's nice using my computer to check and store phone messages and numbers (computers have more buttons and a bigger display than a phone) and my phone can handle FAX's, which came in handy when some auto-dialing FAX machine got my voice phone as a wrong number.

But...now my phone is as reliable as my internet connection

My only complaint was that my connection was choppy at 384k. I bumped my internet connection to 3 meg, and it's crystal clear. Love it now that I have that fixed.

I love all of the services as well. You really cant beat the service for the price. We also pay 24.99 a month, and get unlimited everything.

I have the dedicated fax line addition to the unlimited, and it is a very nice thing to have.

For you guys who use Vonage, make sure you have a power supply for the router or you will be SOFL when the power goes out and you need a phone for emergency. Well, at least have a cell phone nearby.

I have been reading some not-so-hot reviews on Vonage. I ried to call them today with some questions. I got someone on the the phone with a very heavy Indian accent....I lost interest in Vonage. Does anyone use a service other than Vonage? I wish that VOIP for Life was availabel. I have read very good reviews on them.

Just the router? Aren't there other knick-knacks involved that require 120VAC?

You should have your router and modem on a redundant power supply, so if the power goes down, your phone doesnt.

We switched over roughly 75% of our phone use to Vonage at the office. We still use the land lines for DSL and two faxes, plus have "backup" lines in case the computers go down.

We save almost five hundred each month, which adds up nicely at the end of the year.

Vonage's customer service is probably the worst in the VOIP industry right now, and their recent abysmal failure of an IPO reflects their diminishing share in the technology. Check out SunRocket or ViaTalk for dramatically better pricing, features, and customer service. Both regularly offer promotions of 2 years for $199 with zero added fees per month or anything, and come with the adapter. I've been using ViaTalk for months now and can see no loss in quality over a landline while getting unlimited long distance and dramatically better features than a POTS line would provide, all for about $12.50 a month.

I use Lingo. I think we have had it for about a year now. At first the service was spotty. Calas would echo, fail to go through, the router would drop the lingo signal but for the last 6-10 months or so (I did not really keep track) the service is very good, no missed calls, the router does not need to be rebooted all the time. Very happy and for $25 a month you cant beat it.

I am trying to figure out a work around on my old series I Tivo but other than that, no complaints.
