Perfect Car for you.

Whats the car you wished somebody made that would be the car you would keep forever (besides your Merc)?

For me, it would be a wagon, like a Suabru Outback, but a skosh larger. Like W123 Chassis size. All Wheel drive with a locking center diff and ride height adjustment, for on and off road. Diesel power with some oomph, like the Pumpe Duse by VW. Interior like a Xterra, but classy like a taxi-benz. A big sunroof or slider top, and places to put racks on the roof. Sliding rear windows like a campershell. Easy to work on, not alot of complex crap, like vacuum locks and whatnot.
Thats would be the ride for me.

Too bad nobody makes it, it would be a cult car for sure.

I will be happy if Maxine 1990 420 SEL is the last car I own.

I really really like my 1988 300TE. It is built like a tank, and it is perfectly sized for my needs. However, I wish that it had more power than it does.

My ideal car would be a 400TE or 500TE. Thats it, and I would be happy.

I am waiting for Honda to sell the Accord in a diesel in the U.S. Basically, I want a midsize sedan with diesel fuel economy. There is VW, however, I am concerned about what I have read about their quality and what I know through two owners who bought new Jetta with the TDI..

They do make it. I'm too cheap to buy it.

A Dodge 2500 with a Cumm. Diesel, Manual Trans and Full bed.

I would keep it and care for it until I died.

Food for thought in Europe, 50% of vehicles sold are diesel.

Bush has clearly stated he does not support diesel. -- So no Diesel for us.

I'd like a later-model 124-bodied wagon, but with the turbocharged version of the OM606.

Ah, but Honda IS bringing diesels here. I don't remeber if it is for the 2008 or 2009 model year. Honda is also palnning a V6 diesel to follow for the Odessy van.

I believe that it was February or March that Euopean diesel sales were 63% of new cars sold.

Bush WILL lose this battle.

I'd take a W124 estate wagon, with a 5.0 liter M119 engine.

I'd like a workhorse Audi Allroad wagon diesel. Without frills.

A 126 Wagon

Long body, factory-built (not a Binz) with a 606...and, a 126 coupe hood.

Tasty.
