Garlic Overload

My wife bought 4 lbs of garlic today and I'm wondering how to preserve it from going bad. I can't even give it away.

ever eat to much garlic and have the "garlic farts"... they can be quite funny.. people think garlic bread is cooking...until you let them know

I have one word for you TRANSYLVANIA.....

I love garlic but then again being Italian it's in the jeans...my kitchen has been converted into a shoe closet so I wouldn't be able to give you any cooking tips per say.

How does that work out, garlic in your jeans? Isn't it kinda lumpy?

How many heads does 4 lbs translate to?

Larry Delor 08-30-2006 08:15 PM

I'd guess between 25 and 30 bulbs.

Pickled garlic comes to mind. Two choices, country style or Chinese style. Both great snacking material.

Get yourself a garlic roaster.
Roast the garlic in butter.
Chill in the fridge.
Roll it up into tubes, and freeze it for when you need garlic butter.
