I won a $6500 holiday!!

Hey all,
i had the good luck to win a holiday to the value of EUR5000 - approx $6500,
on a radio show. It was on the breakfast show of the station i always listen to
(TodayFM-they're on the net if anyones interested). They always have cool prizes to give away each week, and im forever ringing in and trying to get on air. So eventually i got through, there was a prize for each daily contestant of a cool SonyEricsson Walkman Camera phone, with the top prize being the already mentioned holiday..
So tomorrow, Annie and i are going to the travel agents to blow 5K.
The voucher can be fragmented into lots of smaller but decent holidays, but we thought 'when are we gonna have this kinda cash to blow on holidays'
so were goning for a biggie. We went to Thailand for our honeymoon a couple of years ago and loved it. Were planning on going on holidays in October, and reckon a couple of weeks chilling on a tropical beach/paradise is the thing.
October however rules out some places 'cos its wet season, so maybe were looking at somewhere like Seychelles, Maldives that kinda thing.
Decisions, decisions

Tony

Sorry TX, i didnt mean to steal your thunder
Yea, how cool is that? we've had a bit of a tough year so its kinda nice to have something like this fall into our laps. we've both done backpacking in the past, before we met each other, travelling thru Asia, staying in some fairly cheap n grotty huts, pitching tents literally on the side of the track in some cases, so its nice to be able to lux it up.
we wouldnt really fancy a cruise, not at this stage anyway, i would love to do a great train journey, but again thats for another time. Also out is a multi-centre trip, done 'em before, and they're good, but we just want to get to somewhere, leave our bags to be unpacked, and not stir for about three weeks (being realistic for a moment)
So, yea, its looking like a castaway type island, white sands, palm trees, azure waters, hammocks, stop me im drooling here....

I almost hate to admit it, but I'm a fan of that ol' Survivor TV show here in the states (people really display their illusions about themselves -- it's interesting) and some of the places they've filmed appeal to me.

One place had a lake that had once been connected to ocean but got cut off, was now freshwater, and contained a lot of jellyfish that had evolved over god knows how long to live in freshwater and had lost their toxic stings with the bargain.

There was a scene of some folks swimming in the lake, surrounded by harmless jellyfish. What a trip. I'd have to do some research to find out where that was though.

**WHOOPS** Not that much research. I just tried that new web search thing I've been hearing about:

Very cool, I hope you guys enjoy it a lot!

Bermuda, USVI/BVI are pretty nice places to spend a few weeks.

Or there’s always Las Vegas.
