Lost all of My Music.I made c.d's of all of the songs and would like to know if i can download the songs from each c.d back into my computer? If so How,and what program do i need?

Use Windows media or Nero or Musicmatch---plenty of different software systems that do it for free.

Are you sure they are gone? Software is available to retrive deleted data a word to the wise for those that sell on computers on ebay, simply deleting and putting files in the trash does mean your data was deleted.

And yes you can easily bring it from CD to your computer.

Are the cd's you have mp3's or wav? If they are the original cd's, they are wav format. Insert the cd, using windows media player. Click on "rip music", it will put the cd on your hard drive in the "my music" folder unless you have it set to go someplace else. To change where you want your music to go and how high of a bitrate (quality) you want, click on "tools" then "options" then "rip music", and choose your settings for quality and location. If the cd's are mp3 format, you can copy and paste them into your music folder just as you would with any other file. As far as naming your songs, that depends on the source disc. Window Media does a good job of automatically finding album and song titles when online. Otherwise, you will have to rename them as they will come up as "unknown". Hope this helps...

WBAIN: All of my music was very organized in My Music. I even had a shortcut to My Music on my desktop.Monday i noticed that my shortcut was missing,so i opened My Music from the start menu,and Itunes was the only thing in there. When i opened Itunes it said ERROR47. I did a search for My music and came up empty.

If you have a DVD burner, now would be a good time to back them up. It is a lot easier to have all of your music on a couple of DVD's then a bunch of cd's when it comes to recovery. Been there....:wacko:

Don't know what system we are talking about or exactly what you mean by lost music but there are viruses out there that delete music files. You might want to check this as a possibility.
