Another great trip,,,, for me.

Not everyone would have enjoyed it, but for me it was just what I needed. 3500 miles in 5 days of driving seems a bit much, but I did see Wall Drug, Deadwood S. Dakota, snow, The Devils Tower, Mt Rushmore and the Wind Cave National Park. Even took the trail around the Devils Tower and the one in front of Mt Rushmore. Took the TE and it did not dissappoint me again. This was the second big trip for the wagon this year and with a total of almost 8000 miles without a hitch, it makes me wonder if I am pushing my luck. Rock solid and cruising between 80 and 90 all day every day it still averaged 22.3 MPG for the entire trip. Did add one quart of oil midway though. Getting into the wilds of Wyoming on a cold wet Sunday morning the thought did cross my mind more than once how long it would take me to find a fuel pump or whatever if the need arose. Never did though and back home and ready to face the daily routine again. Hope you all have a great a time as I do with my cars.

I look forward to the day when I can take "Maxine," on a big driving excursion....just a few more "rejuvenations" and she'll be good to go. Glad you had good time.
