B-day gift ideas for a 3 year old boy

My boy is going to be three years old in a couple of days.

I'm looking for some ideas for gifts, as I don't remember what I got when I was three. (hmm..maybe I didn't get anything )

Figure I would ask, and somebody might come up with something I didn't think of, or forgot about.

thanks!

-Larry

Your time, your attention, and your love. Nothing else comes close.

The rest is gravy.

Whatever you do, don't get him anything expensive that comes in a big box. He will surely enjoy the box more.

Great idea!

Get a fridge box, big brushes and a buckets of tempra paints. You and the Missus and and older sibs of the birthday boy paint that box and make it his special room. Butt ugly and he'll love it. You may never be able to throw it away.

I suspect the reason a lot of people buy things for young kids, as opposed to doing something like this, is because they fear their friends will think they're cheap.

For the kid, though, nothing beats a good fort. Or a tree house if that's possible, though that would be a few years down the road yet, I would think.

Malaleuca trees make lousy tree houses; as do Brazilian pepper trees. Good idea though!

Oh Larry, I'm sorry for you. Those plants are like kudzu in S FL. I worked on a project mapping their spread, post Andrew. It was freaking incredible.

Mine got a book, a cupcake with a candle, and a good stick. For a three year old, a good stick can be anything.

children of that age love big cardboard boxes more than toys.
You might also consider giving him a 3 yr old girl!

Cute kid Larry!

Howdy Larry,
Things that he can enjoy for years to come like a Rolex watch or a nice Unimog or a Cabo Yacht or a hooker.
