Anyone seen Jesus Camp?
Saw it last night. I thought it was a fair presentation of Pentecostal children's ministries. Curious as to other people's opinions. I felt bad for the children.

I thought the movie was a very fair presentation of what happens with many Pentocostal children. The director of the camp came across as a decent person, despite the long term damage I think she is inflicting on the children. Ted Haggard, the President of the National Association of Evangelicals, whose church in Colorado Springs some of the children visit, presented a very creepy image compared to the children's director. The footage of 12 yr old children evangelizing outside the Supreme Court makes you wonder if child labor laws ought to be applied to them.

Did not see it. Probably would avoid seeing it.
I tend to distrust organized religions, as such things have killed more people than organized governments.

I saw some news bits about it, I think one piece I saw was on 60 Minutes. I might go see it. From the bits, looked pretty stark. Amazing the belief systems some people come to embrace.
Some of the Mormon kids I grew up with had the stuff branded on their neural pathways early on. Me, I was lucky, my dad was a Jack Mormon. My mom was into it but my dad was an effective antidote.
