What's everyone's Halloween plans?

I'm sure in the Bible Belt they'll be protesting this "demonic" holiday, but I was just curious. Seems that Oct 31 has turned into Halloweekend and that no one ever outgrows the wearing of costumes- wasn't quite this much escapist fun for grown-ups when I was younger.

As for me, the GF and I will be dressed as John Steed and Emma Peel of the Avengers. Going to a famed tiki-bar house party...

Speaking of above theme, Carleton, might I borrow the Vauxhall 30/98? (See episode "The 13th Hole"...)

Just curious, and wanting to start a non-GW, non-Muslim thread here...

Mikemover, aren't you 36?

I'm 30 and she's 24, so that can't be it...

True,I recall it well.

Yet in order to make a splendid impression I would recommend a 3 liter 1926 Bentley "red label"with vanden-plas close-coupled touring coachwork as Steed drove in the earlier{and best}episodes.

Yep.

I'm probably "old enough" to remember what you're talking about....

...But I never watched that much TV, even as a kid.

Takin' the kids out trick or treating while wife minds the store for the neighborhood kids, or vice versa.

Then when they get back with their loot, they can pay the 'daddy tax' in the way of Snickers bars or any other candy they don't want.
Can you believe it? They don't like Snickers! More for me.

Wife put out a bunch of pumpkins, gourdes and fall flowers with 3 yo last weekend. We will all four go trick or treating and have the perfect neighborhood for it. Then late night, I will go to a fairly eccentric Pimps & Hos party, complete with rented hoopties and full lenght fur coats (money raised the last two years goes to Katrina victims).

I belong to a fraternal group that sponsors an indoor Halloween Party for kids (open to public). Hot Dogs, Games, Candy, Scares, etc. If you like 400+ screaming kids this would be your ticket, if not it suggested you remain seated in the social quarters.

Nothing, but then I am not big on holidays in general. I have become cynical of holidays because at least in the country there is so much noise about holiday marketing.

I'm wearing my army uniform and hanging a potato from my crotch. I'll be a dick-tater.
