Help me win a bet with the wife....

Here is the deal.... Help me prove a point to my wife that says most people don't vote. If I loose, I have to clean out the garage to the walls, and you all know what that means... Please vote for "Who's couch is this" at this site. To help you find the right one to vote for, the picture is below.... thanks for your help, and if I loose, there is going to be one heck of a yard sale ..... Dusty & the couch potato...

I hope not, but there is nothing that I can do about that. She definitely is a beautiful woman. Now that she is a grandmother, I wonder what todays picture of her looks like?

In answer to the question, "what is in the garage?" ...... at this point, I don't know. We have lived in this home for 25 years, so a lot has accumulated. There is a 1962 Corvair convertible with air conditioning that I never finished the restoration of. That is on my list of things to do now that I have retired, but there are a lot of other things on the top of that list. I need to win the bet to save everything ..... thanks for the votes... Dusty

I don't know if I should vote for you. I might like what I see at the garage sale.

Exactly, normally I would vote for the best photo but none of the photos have any redeeming photographic quality I voted for my team.

Not for nothing but your "Whose couch is this anyway" picture is pretty dumb. With so many other decent pictures there why would anyone vote for you?
You might want to get an early start on that garage.

I see a road trip in the near future for a lot ofMercedesshop guys. How about a GTG at your place to help you get rid of all that stuff after you lose the vote. BTW, I did vote for your picture; not becasue it was really good, but because you asked.

Now, where are you located? When is the GTG/ garage clean out day?

Wait before I vote, is there any good stuff in the garage? I mean I may want to purchase it at fire sale prices at your tag sale. So why would I vote to prevent this??

I too wonder whose couch it is sometimes too. Your Weimaraner is beautiful. We have a Vizsla puppy. He jumps up on the couch on his own now.

I just voted for your photo. You have 69 and the kid with the fan has 76.

Where are you? I want some of the garage spoils too. Any W124 specialty tools?

This all started when I purchased a new 4 post lift, which is scheduled for delivery today. The discussion got around to where it was going to go. I had already started to move everything around to make room, and I am certain that everyone knows how much you can accumulate over 25 years. I have moved stuff that I have had since before we were married, but still can't bear to dispose of. I am a collector by nature. It isn't my fault that all this stuff has followed me home and with every move ever since. My wife was pushing me to get rid of everything, so I decided to up the ante by posting the picture and telling her that if the picture won, I would not have to clean out the garage. She then said it was a safe bet for her, since no one would vote for a dog picture. Now, I have to win or start to divest myself of all these pieces of old clutter and junk. For the most part, it is old American car parts for those cars that I was going to restore and never got to, or parts for my Corvair that I still haven't finished. She is also pushing to get the Corvair out of the garage. I will clean it up somewhat, but I still need to hold onto that occasional part in case I should ever need it..... I am certain that there are a few of you out there, that can identify with that sentiment.. As they say in Chicago, don't forget to vote, and don't forget to vote often. If you vote from your work computer, don't forget to vote from the home computer also...
Thanks to everyone for your support..... Dusty....

Your dog is a cute puppy, and it is obvious that the children are already very attached to them. It is always fun to see the children and puppy grow up together.
Sorry, but no MB specific tools at all, just my metric wrenches and socket. I live in CT on the MA / RI border in what is commonly referred to as the "Quiet Corner".
Your Vizsla is a distant cousin of the Weimeraner. They are one of my favorites since the disposition is very similar. The one thing that I particularly like about the Vizsla is the color and the fact that they are slightly smaller in size than the Weimeraners. We had a German Shorthair Pointer before going back to the Weimeraner, and she also was a great dog. We all have our favorites and they all make great companions. The only thing that I dislike about dogs is there short life span compared to ours...

Man can I relate to that. I have a barn chocked full of stuff, but I managed to clear one spot so I can work on the cars under cover. I know if I just keep pecking away at it that I can get it all organized and not have to get rid of too much of it.

Four post lift eh? My sympathy is waning as my envy is growing. I WANT ONE! Do you have 10' ceilings in your garage?

I did alot of research and those three breeds made the short list, then I made contact with a friend from college who had a Vizsla and that sealed it. We had a rescue dog first, but he got out and was run over. He just loved for us to chase him, and bolted out the door straight into the road one day. The puppy just wants to be by our side, or on the couch, or on the bed. My wife loves him dearly, and I must admit he makes my heart feel good.

Quick joke: What do you call a sleeping Vizsla?

A brownout.

I am in Mattituck on the North Fork on LI. probably less than 60 miles as the crow flies.
