Red face Internet Explorer 7 is junk!

I hate this new system, I am just getting used to the tool bar. I think its crap but I can live with it. But what drives me up the wall is this, I can't view any of the video's on adultswim fix anymore!
http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimfix/index.jsp

How the heck and I supposed to get my comedy in after a long week? You guys are pretty good with computers please I'm begging! How do I make it work again? Before the update I used to just click on the show and it would play, now insted it just opens a new window and doesn't play! Ahhh I can't fix it I tried everything.

The vids work in my IE7. Does your Internet options > advanced tab look like this?

thats why i use mozilla/firefox. IE lets to much crap go through your system. Ive lets say "rebuilt" many computers due to IE allowing spam and crud to come through.

I don't understand how some of you guys don't use FIREFOX. My school totally switched over, you cannot even access the internet through IE.

Yeah the advanced tab looks like that. After screwing around with it for an hour, and talking to the people with the same problem on there forum, I just couldn't fix it. So I downloaded Firefox 2 and was good to go!

So I still got my late Friday night fix it!

I switched to Firefox Mozilla after a IT person suggested it as the network was cleaner than when they used IE because IE kept forcing "upgrades" (read that for Microsoft's benefit!) and video movies and stuff that loaded the network.
If your a computer tekkie and can keep your S/W upgrades and run XP on DSL then IE might be ok. Not for me. Sorry, Bill!

I like your thinking, Mike. That's the best suggestion I've heard to problems with Microsoft products.

I'll never buy anything Microsoft makes again unless it's been out long enough to have most of the problems fixed. In other words, I'll wait until IE 8 is in Beta testing before I ever try using IE 7.

I work in the IT field as a Sys Admin. I *USED* to use IE 6 over firefox, simply because the browser was very similar, and for the most part... easier to load certain pages.

I recently upgraded a laptop to IE7, and tried using it. Guess what happened? I'm now a Firefox user. First off, the new address bar in IE7 sucks.. and I've yet to find a way to move the bar lower (I hate having it stuck on the top of my screen). They ditched the button bar, and stuck the stop & refresh buttons right next to the address bar.. another annoying and ugly idea. The back & forward buttons are mooshed together, too.

It's obvious they were TRYING to go for a firefox-esque browser with a minimalist interface. They succeeded in turning me off IE until they can get their heads on straight, and fix the interface. Plus, it seems that the browser has actually gotten slower and less responsive, too. Firefox, here I come!

Okay - I've read this thread and just installed Firefox. I am writing this message with it right now. We'll see how it goes.

Not to worry, just a matter of time before MS forces 7 on all you windoz people. IE7 is light years ahead of 6 for web standardization, but its still crap. I spend more time getting pages that work in every other browser to look alright in IE6.

Yep I bet they make it a security update soon forcing everyone with XP to use it or else! I have my whole family on Firefox and I use it in the office and I haven't had to de-clutter my hard drive in over a year.
