time for glasses?

ill admit.. i sit in front of a computer all day long.. at school and home.. but i usually walk away from the laptop at home and go outside or do something else. but in school i really cant since its class work or im in the zone(for my work)..

i get like head aches all the time. my eyes hurt.. my vision isnt really blurred its just reading alot of small letters on the screen and in books hurts

Maybe it's just eyestrain. Funny how we spend so much time in front of computers. Headaches from eyestrains are no fun

You know, every few years it might not hurt to have an eye test, just to see where you are, so to speak. A bit nearsighted or farsighted.

Glasses are no big deal. If you need them, once you get used to them, (will be about a month) you will be perfectly fine with them. I have had them since I was a little kid. Never tried contact lenses.

Good luck, we lihe you here

Caffeine can give tremendous headaches too. I just had one today that lasted about 7 hours. (I didn't drink a caffeine beverage soon enough and in sufficient quantities).

i dont drink caffinated crap that much.. just lipton ice tea.. ill schedule an appoitment with the optomitrist

i cant make out small letters on an iTunes gift card or news paper print without putting it close to my face since i have to strain to read it..

if you hold down CTRL and fiddle with the scroll wheel on your mouse(if equipted) you can make the text larger.. wooo

Larry Delor 11-05-2006 09:12 PM

If you're using IE, you can click on "View", scroll to "Text size" and increase the ...well,... the text size. ;)

btw...Unless it's herbal, or de-caf tea, it has caffeine.

reason why i take a break every 30 mins... but sometimes the breaks dont cut it so i go longer...

I go into some peoples offices and they have their screen resolution set so tiny that you can barely read it. I sometimes comment on it, and they say its because they have to see multiple windows at once etc., etc. I always set mine to the biggest practical font size and haven't had problems with my eyes at all.

No common sense! Don't ask us, GO TO AN EYE DOCTOR.

You never mentioned how old you are, but your eyeballs do change with age.

Went to reading glasses about three years ago when I had difficulty reading magazine print (various colors), although I could still see black and white print fine. Also low-light conditions hampered my vision.

Just had an eye exam last week, and I am now being fitted for bi-focals. This from a guy who had 20/10 vision until the age of 44!! Kinda sucks, but it isn't the end of the world.

Definitely have your eyes checked!

make an appointment and have your eyes checked....you only have one pair...

I called my optician for an eye test but he said he couldn't see me.

Howdy All,
I see said the blind man to his deaf son upon a stare that wasn't there.
