Al Unser Jr. E500 on Ebay.
I came across this gorgeous car on Ebay, and thought I'd share. I did a search, and what do you know? It was posted on the forum last time it was for sale in 2006. Has a few hundred more miles on it now.
Looks like a brand new car, and it's got extra pedigree, with Al Unser Jr. Indy 500 association. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-Mercedes-Benz-E-500-E500-500E-8k-Miles-Al-Unser-Jr_W0QQitemZ190306811031QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item2c4f2b7c97&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A317|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308

It will make a considerable dent in your wallet, that's for sure. It looks very nice, though I don't know if I could ever befriend myself with that exterior color.
I bet it roars like no other ... I reckon it even outruns the infamous Hot Rod Lincoln Nevermind the cartoonish visual, that's just one of Hattie's wild dreams.

It's the Hatch and Sons car. When my best friend was shopping for a 500E about a year ago, he reviewed this car. It's beautiful and perfect, but Hatch and Sons (well respected) wanted $35k for it. My friend passed because (a) too much money and (b) with only 9000 miles on it, you can't really drive it that much without killing its value.
The Al Unser thing should have nothing to do with the car's value - the car is at $24,600 with only a few hours to go, and that's fairly market correct.

I'd say its worth a tick under $30k maybe. The owner probably wants a lot for it, I doubt its seriously for sale.
