I'm considering buying a friend's C230, lady owned w/all A/B maintenance done by a local and good MB service/dealership. She owned it since new also. It has 97,000+ miles with a warranty left until 100,000 miles. She's selling it to me for $6800, is this a good buy, worth it?

Keep in mind i'm not very knowledgeable about MB's, i've researched the cost of A/B services and oil changes, scary, but I can swing it barely living on a Police Officer's salary, so i may just turn around and sell it.

Any words of wisdom?

If the car is in nice shape 7K is a pretty good deal, I recently added a C230 to my fleet and I like it. The car has good acceleration and returns 30+ MPG on the highway. When performed at the dealer maintenance can be pretty expensive, doing it yourself will reduce the cost by more than 60%.
