and there is a '90300 CE selling tonight. BIding ends at a little after 11PM Eastern;

I want this car.

The seller only accepts bids from "pre-approved bidders". I am not one and he doesn't return the emails I've sent in the last 36 hrs.

Is there any way for me to buy this car???

The seller probably won't accept bids from "0" feedback newbie ebayers. Pretty standard practice for large ticket items. The guy expects to get 3 grand for the car, but the auction doesn't appear to have a reserve. The last 15 minutes should be wild, hell I might even throw in a bid. Something doesn't seem quite right with the guy's write-up, not sure what it is.

Well right now it's at $405, 1.5 hours left, 2 bids, no reserve. Won't accept any bids without approval. I e-mailed him for approval, let's see what happens, I have 99.5 feedback. I wonder if he watching the auction and responding to approval messages, it would be ashame for him if he isn't. $405 bucks would be the selling price as of now, no reserve. Somehow something is gonna go wrong at that price. I'll be wathching.

I did a google search on the VIN #, car comes up for sale in Texas, Hewlett Kia. Same VIN# and mileage, different color.

I don't know about the email address thing either.

But... As far as the VIN goes. Suppose I had a CE with 300k miles on it, but was able to "adjust" the odometer to reflect the mileage of another CE a few thousand miles away. The other CE only has 120k miles on it.

If I were to run a carfax report, it wouldn't give me the color, just the basics which are identical in both cars.

Yes, once you showed up to get the car, you might look at the VIN number...but would you really remember it? You would be looking at the car itself and it's gadgets....not the VIN.

That, is where the scam is.
