Execution Nightmares

My aunt called and told my mom that my 12 year old cousin has been having bad dreams and nightmares about the execution of Saddam Hussein. She said he was very interested in the case and probably spent too much time with it. She thinks it'll pass. My other cousins never gave it a second thought LOL

I don't think it's funny.
This shows how the media deteriorates the children of this nation.
Symptoms may pass, memory lasts a lifetime.

Tell me how a 12 year old, that watches cartoons and plays Playstation games all day, can even be affected minutely by a very poor video of someone standing in the noose?

Or maybe it did him a favor and will make him think twice about aspiring to become a murderous dictator?

Not if he already suffered from similar mental numbness.
Apparently it did!
You should ask the original poster, for that matter.

That's got to be a J.D. original.

I doubt it will affect the prospects of that boy aspiring to be a murderous dictator. More likely, it will cause him to oppose needless invasions of sovereign nations. Isn't that the lesson of this chaotic Shiite execution of a Sunni leader on a Sunni holy day? That it's stupid to invade when you don't need to?

Of course nobody said that Bush was the only one to blame, but I'd love to hear the explanation of why Bush doesn't share in the blame. Your response would do Sean Hannity proud. Anytime anyone states an opinion that W's policies are less than ideal, he attributes that opinion to hatred of Bush. Makes it tough to have a real conversation about the pros and cons of our President's policies.

Oh, is that what we're doing? I thought it was discussing some kid's nightmares. Now we're into policy discussion.

Have we done that before -- had a policy discussion? Any question about what people think?

My execution nightmare is that all those on death row, are housed, fed and clothed for years before they are finally executed.
Irak may be in shambles, but at least they don't waste money on those sentenced to death.
If you are going to have a death penalty, use it. Don't tease everybody with it for 10 years.
