Decent Cordless Phone
Its another case of "they don't make em like they used to". Our relatively new Vtech phone is falling apart, some of the buttons barely work, it loses contact with its base, and sometimes doesn't charge up. A Panasonic we had before had similar problems. Each time its a couple hundred dollars. Who makes a low-frills reliable W126-like phone?

The best cordless phone is the one you get at a garage sale for $3.00 because it quit working do to the owner always putting it back on the charger and ruining the NiCad within a year or so. You pull the battery and replace it with one you get from Radio Shack for $12.00. Now, you’ve got a $15.00 cordless phone that you don’t care how long it lasts. If it gets dropped. If it quits working again a couple of years down the road. If the dog gets a hold of it. Etc. Etc.
That’s the best kind of cordless phone. All three here are of that blood line. It’s nice not to have to carry it across the hanger to someone as well. Just, let it slide. :) |
Our first was a Uniden that survived countless drops. It finally died. We purchased another Uniden, but is might be 1/2 the quality of our first. We have also tried a Souther Bell. That one was a 90% waste of money.
