South Austin: snow/sleet in up to 1" accumulation on the streets. Intermittent light snow and sleet. Temp 29° at my house, 30° at the airport. At least 1/4" ice accumulation on cars and other exposed objects.

Not many people on the roads. With the ice, it's not worth it to bother trying to get out IMHO.

ah. so it is amounting to something. dang. i doubt the space heater will keep the garage warm enough to work on the car. too bad it wasnt safe to work on it while it was running. nice toasty engine block. lol

It was snowing from about 11 until an hour or two ago in South Austin.

It's raining now. The temp is 30 degrees, up a little bit from a few hours ago.

Nobody is out, lots of businesses are closed today (as they were yesterday, and quite possibly tomorrow too).

I wouldn't go out on the roads unless you have to. Not saying you're a bad driver, but even if you do know how to drive in this weather, that doesn't mean that people around you on the road do (most people around here don't).

nah, im not going out anywhere tonight. i am capable of driving in these conditions quite carefully, but i agree, not many that i have seen in this area can. hell, if it rains, 45 is a parking lot. besides, i have no heat in my 300d and no snow tires. i was just wondering if it was nasty enough that i wouldnt be able to work on the car. it looks like we will see rain at 11 tonight. we will see. thanx guys.
