Don't think Apple has anything to do with it...iRobot is the mfgr. We've got one and amazingly enough, it does damned well.

Really? You're the first person I've met that had one. So, it works pretty well? I've had many vacuum cleaners and most didn't really work THAT well. I can't conceive of how this could really create that much of a vacuum given its size and shape.

Do they have these units in Botville?

Yes they use them after heavy night of partying at the Bot Garden....even sucks up caps from Botale.......and peanut shells.
