Smile Help even though its the arch enemy? (BMW)

hey guys i know this isnt a mercedes question but my friend is a little tight on cash so i thought i would throw this out here since im sure some of you have some experience with BMW. a good friend of mine has a '93 325i with about 130k on the clock and all of a sudden the drivers side turn signal lights are both stuck on at all times (including when the car is off) even the blinker light on the dash that tells you when your blinkers are on. the only way i could keep it from draining the battery when parked was to pull the corresponing fuse out. none of the other fuses in the box relating to lighting were blown or corroded but even with the fuse out the parking lights still work (same bulb as most mercedes at the time two filaments one bulb). the car does not have any sort of euro parking lights where one side only can be turned on at a time so that rules that out. any help or ideas of where to start would save my rear as i convinced her it would be a good car thanks guys!!
