Here, there, everywhere.

I get around.

I just noticed that my post total is 1313. Double bad luck. I am going home to hide under the bed, right next to my black cat. :evilbunny

Yep, here!

Spent yesterday, standing on top of a chiller, mixing 12 gallons of Dowtherm SR1 and Distilled water.

Weather conditions during this stunt?

-2° F, w/a 3HP, 3-phase, 480V motor blowing air up your @55!

Crappy day to pull that off. :dizzy2:

POS 02-02-2007 06:24 PM

Botnst 02-02-2007 06:24 PM

Indeed it is . . . and as I do every year, I wish I could afford to hop a plane and get away from the insanity for the entire 10 days.

When you grow up in the middle of it (the parade route was half a block from my house), there's not much new to see or do.
.

truckinik 02-06-2007 01:50 AM

I agree.

I agree with you. I went one year when my Fiance' was alive. We wanted to check it out. So we hopped on the next flight out and went for a four day trip, from a thursday, through monday. What a waste of time, we left by saturday mid-day, early. Neither of us really found it all that spectacular. A 153 year old tradition? C'mon the party is over, let it go.. We didn't see what the big deal was. We grabbed a rental car to Tampa, and wet to visit my Grandparents down there for the remainder of our little excursion, and had more fun with the two 75 year olds and their friends, just talking, and doing family type things. The whole Mardi Gra thing got old in a day or two though. I would make it the 10 day vac. you take every year if I were you, and get away the same week every year. Find a time share plan, or something like that, that works for you, and just go somewhere different every year.

aklim 02-06-2007 02:05 AM

I am probably here.

rickg 02-08-2007 04:54 AM

I'm not here.

Gads! Can't believe all the "old faces" still hangin' here:cool: Been awhile since I was part of the gang. Not sure if I'll ever have enough wasted time to devote here like I used to(probably a relief to some of you :P )
My 'ol diesel is mostly a garage queen anymore. Needs more TLC than I have time for, so she just comes out on nice sunny sunday afternoons.
Till next month.................:dancefool
