Dvorak Keyboards
Anyone ever considered an alternate keyboarding layout besides the current QWERTY one? I was looking at alternative keyboards and the Microsoft website pointed me to "Dvorak" keyboards. Type faster and with less hand strain? Sounds good to me, only problem is relearning but it couldn't be that hard.
I can type close to 80 words per minute on the standard keyboard layout but more is always better, am I right? http://www.dvorak-keyboards.com/

You can switch, but 99.9% of the keyboards out there will still be QWERTY.
Not worth re-learning it unless you type for a living. |

If you can type 80 wpm your typing skills are probably so ingrained that it would be difficult to relearn. I have often thought about using a Dvorak board but I don't type enough anymore to warrant the change. I understand that tests showed that you can go 40% faster with Dvorak, but as with Beta Max, and Mac computers it is not who is better but who gets there firstest with the mostest.

Hmmm....
I have seen a DVORAK keyboard at work.... The guy was old, and that was the way he learned... I tried to type on it, but I was still in the QWERTY mindset... Too hard to type on. And if your on a laptop... How you going to change that keyboard?
