Not sure I get the joke...
Pants and vest are the right size for a kid...not cheap either...buy enough gear and it can exceed the cost of the bike! Here's a pic of my daughter when she was 7. Same bike, daughter fully armored! Guys don't care much for girls with road rash battle scars! Does it make the ad any clearer now?

I hear ya on the gear investment. Seems less than a grand will up-grade the bike every couple of years. But the gear - every time we hit the shop, seems we’re into a new outfit with matching helmet. Not because they’re spoiled (which they are) but because they grow like weeds. A weekend at the track with everything fitting fine. Two weekends later - shirtsleeves, pants being pinned to socks, squeezing on helmets..... But - We only have them for a short time. And - ya gotta keep ‘em safe.
