water heater aerating?
For the past week there's been a lot of air coming out of the hot side of our faucets. Water that's white with air bubbles. I hope it's air bubbles. Cold side is fine. What does this mean? Heater is of 1990 vintage. I'm looking into a new one this year. Should I speed up the search?

I've seen that in ones I've just installed when new copper piping and soldering was involved. The flux dissolving.
I can't say what it is in your case. Is it ultra hot? If so, the thermostat might be bad and it's over-heating. Usually the pressure relief valve will pop open when the pressure gets too high if that's what's happening.
