I can't help myself and just keep staring at the hooters on the girl with the white t-shirt. Nice assets.

What's the title of that photo, 'Tits in War'?
It reminds me of the military recruiting group that showed up at our school a few years ago. They hired girls like that to staff the recruiting trailers.
I think its power is found in the suggestion that sex and war are two sides of the same coin.

The irony of a photo of the year coming from Beirut, the source of numerous fake war photos.

Could this be a fake? Awww, who could fake something like that?

That's exactly what I thought. The fauxtography trend is a fascinating one.

I don't get it? Sure, tits and all, but photo of the year? It's pretty lame! The stupid chick with the phone, and like 3 other people on cell phones. Big deal? It looks like a construction site to me. Theres even blur in a couple places, its not even a very good shot.

Doctors can do wonderful things these days, plus, in Lebanon, I think silicone is still legal.

Agree 100%

Nice shot and all - but Photo of the Year ?? I don't get it either.

Most of MSNs photos of the week are better than that.

I get the feeling there is a trend in publication at work. Would be interesting who was the jury and what were they thinking.

The shot, if real is certainly great. My first impression was that it is a photochop. But I know from professional sources, that there are (at least they say there is) a verification process for the authenticity of a photograph being turned in.

More I wonder, what's the message behind the election of this particular photograph?

Could it be like:
"Look, the bombing wasn't really that bad, they still can drive around in stylish cabriolets and have snobbish attitudes about the situation ...?"

The Austins agree on this opinion.
It is a crappy photo, summed up correctly by Austin; "BIG DEAL".

The composition is awful, it is not a balanced photo, if they are looking for the contrast of desolation of war & what, ?? a bunch of rich locals cruising around taking cell phone pictures....that is NOT a photo of the year.

WHy would they pick a WAR photo anyways ? How about something on a positive angle, like an avalanche rescue or ....crap there are better pictures in CHevy truck tv commercials.....
