The World Is Flat....
 

Anyone read this book? I just started, and its fairly interesting...

I've read plenty of his columns and heard him expound on the book and its themes on NPR at least 4 or 5 times.

He's no dummy, I differ in many regards from him but my background is completely different. I think Bush would have done well to have had him in his cabinet meetings.

I just finished reading about the '10 flatteners', so I'm about half way. I'm enjoying it. I think it's very interesting being alive while such a significant change is taking place. I was sort of aware that these things were occuring starting in the 90's (I was in high school and college), but it's interesting to read about what specifically was taking place, why they occured (like why were we all of the sudden talking to people in India for technical support) and how it affected things. It's probably the most significant thing that I've lived though and this book seems to tie all of these events together. I've been thinking about how this technology available today could affect business and life, it seems it's already happening though. Pretty exciting stuff.

Oh yeah I made a post on it awhile back. It was one of the best books I have read in a long time.
