GF thinks my W124 is "cute"

Ive been seeing this girl for about a month. I had always picked her up in my W140 and she was impressed with the car but when i picked her up in my W124 with its clunking rear suspension she liked it better! which was cool right up until she said it was cute!

Not that im mad about it but i never really thought my of W124 being "cute". She says its small and cute looking. To me its sporty and handsom really.

To me a W201 fits the profile of small and "cute" but i wouldnt think my W124 would

What do you guys think? is my car "Cute"

Even a 201 isn't cute. An SLK is cute, a mini cooper is cute.

Seems that she has a very warped sense of "cute". I'll avoid the obvious snide comment.

Ruben, that's a bonus.

It's much better than saying "ewwww how old is that?"

just be grateful she thinks that way and don't ponder about it too much. more to the point, do you think she's cute? if so, all is right in the world

Female co-worker has an 06 Audi and a 94 Accord. Both cars appear as large as my W124 if I'm parked next to either of her cars...so I could see the "cute" reference.

Some of you guys take your cars too seriously!

How 'bout you? Does she think YOU'RE cute? That's all that really matters, it seems to me.

When I brought home my "new" 300CE my wife said: "Oh what a cute little car."

I almost put the car for sale.

OTOH, my wife normally drives Yukons and Suburbans.

She even thinks that the W210 E320 that she now drives is a small car.

Luckily for me she has never looked at me and said something like: "look at that cute little thing."

I guess that the W124 is a small car, compared to some other Benzes.

I have not seen the specs for the new C class, but I am willing to bet that it is pretty close in size to the old W124.

Oh well: "super size me!"

Hey, it's better than the remark I got from a female friend:
"Looks like ****."

This means she likes it, and it was the first thing that popped out of her mouth. Nothing less
Take it as a compliment and stop obsessing.

Now if she found out you were annoyed and obsessed with her little compliment, she would clearly think you are creepy, weird and self absorbed and not very fun at all.
My 2 cents

Get her in the backseat of both cars and then ask her which one she likes better.

Hahaha... Thats great! I dont know though. I have seen your W124, and well I think it looks good, I dont think that its "cute." I think it falls under something that looks svelte...

The W124 is quite narrow, and from some angles it may appear smaller than it really is. Its only an inch wider than a W201, for example.

But it is ~190 inches long, making it about as long as any E-Class produced after its model run.

"Cute" is a good thing. What else could your girlfriend say that is characteristically effeminate and complimenting?

Let me guess... She's blond! Most women don't care about cars other than what color they are.

She may not be a rocket scientist, as long as she's good in the sack. That keeps her very interesting.
