Car Covers
Looking for a new custom fit car cover for a 250sl. Narrowed it down to a Weathersheild or Stormproof model. Both around $300, any suggestions?

I got the "top of the line" from Walmart. $60 and lifetime warranty. The company has replaced it 2x in 6 years.
My $.02. |
Got mine from Costco. $40
They come in small , medium, and large. I got a large (for my big 420SEL). It's great! I got mine to keep the dust off when she sits in the garage. I'm picky. Some of these companies will really rip you off for the "custom" fitted ones. Not worth it... |
Thanks much for the replies. I ended up buying 2 covers made by Budge. One light cover and one 4 layer. Out the door less than $100. and they are machine washable. Custom covers loog good, but $250 for a two year warranty?

Sorry for thread jack, but I think I saw you driving around in your SL not too long ago. My mom and I were in the G, and I rolled down the window and tried to take a picture, but you turned....
Remember me, maybe? |

Sorry no I did not notice you. Which is wierd because I start drooling when seeing a G. |
My friend got a car cover from costco and had it embroidered with the corvette logo for his C5.. you can add some flair to it if you think its boring ;)

Sheesh, Just get a quality one a keep it forever. I bought one for my '63 Galaxie in '94. The car and cover is owned by my brother and the cover is in perfect condition. Forgot the brand, but it was patented Weathershield fabric.

Probably more like 8 or 9. Still in use, though the car is in his garage now. |
