GPS Program for Laptops

Hello All,

Not knowing anything about this, I want to get a good GPS system for my laptop. What ever system I get, I assume I will be plugging the GPS to my USB ports. What are the most user friendly software that is out there?

Thanks in advanced.

You would be a lot better off if you purchased a preloaded unit. Mio, Tom Tom and Garmin make some good ones.

It would be and I will get one eventually, but for now I need one on the laptop.

How is Microsoft's Streets and Trips (or whatever theirs is called)?

I was wondering about that also. You can get the complete system on eBay for under $85.

I use microsoft streets and trips, works pretty good. Paid $50 for a GPS, and got the software free..

Earthlink by DeLorme. It works fine, but trust me, it's a hassle sittling the laptop on the passenger seat. Pretty much unusable in the daylight hours.

Wait till Bot gets back in the office and sees this thread--this is kind of his field unless you are in a big hurry.
