Ford Flex
Opps. --- UGLY.
http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/...5ford1.650.jpg I was thinkin' the 500 rebadge to Taurus would make me some money on their piss-poor stock... but this may wash out those benefits. Did I mention: UGLY? |
Come on ford, bring back the cheap commuter with 35+mpg... STOP MAKING SUV'S!!!
Damn that thing's ugly... ~Nate |
Looks like a stretch Honda Element.

I think the guy who designed the Pontiac Aztec found a job. (Sorry, just can't say how ugly it is in one post.)
|
Just google: "ford flex ugly"
This thing'll flop. |
It looks like they are trying to bring back the family station wagon. I agree on the ugly part. Most family haulers have more style than this.
|
Even worse news than this car - Ford just paid their new Prez something like $25M for his first 4 months of work. Now that's a real morale builder! I guess he'll say he needs the money...
|
I think it would look good with wood panels.
|
make it out of wood and put the 6.4 diesel in it.then it can self destruct!!back half looks kinda like a mini cooper
|
Where did they get the idea that the market needed another one of those?
|
Its a boxy station wagon that kind of wants to be an SUV, but ends up looking like a fat Scion.:D
Why is station wagon such a dirty word in the automotive world these days? |
I just saw a Ford Flex on a car trailer today. I was wondering WTF that plastic looking POS was.

addtl. comment
For that, they mortgaged themselves to the hilt?
It reminds me of a Toyota FJ and a Scion. It's looks are not exciting, it's existance is not very exciting; it doesn't look inspired at all. A friend of mine works for Ford...he is in lighting, so he's lucky he doesn't have much to do with this model, or I'd call him and harrass him. Step out of the box, Ford, and stop building cars that look like the equivalent of political correctness. (exception would be the Mustang - and it drew it's inspiration from a car built in 64½ - definately not in an era of political correctness). |
What Ford needs to build is a very good RWD sedan, something about the size of the BMW 3 series. With good looks, nice interior and start them at $20k.
Ahh screw it they are hopeless, I'll just stick with German cars and watch the show. |
